Lifesharing, for those who aren't familiar with the term, is a living situation where families integrate adults with developmental disabilities or people with special needs into their homes and into their lives.
Lifesharing offers an opportunity for adults with developmental disabilities — as well as other mental, emotional and physical difficulties — to live, work and grow in this extended family environment.
Residents share all aspects of the social and cultural life the family has to share. In this warm and nurturing family setting, individual needs are met, and challenges faced together.
"It's a funny thing about life; if you refuse to accept anything but the best, you very often get it." ~ W. Somerset Maugham
