"One alone can do little, but if one joins others at the right time, much can be done." ~ Johann W. von Goethe
Volunteer coworkers at Four Winds Community are a diverse group, coming from various countries throughout the world, with different educational and professional backgrounds, age groups, and interests.
A commitment to personal development is essential. So is a willingness to learn — not only to learn about and care for others, but also to learn from and participate in the mutual care that true community building implies. These challenges and rewards are among the basic tenets of the work of Four Winds
We are curently seeking long-term coworkers — individuals, couples, and families who have a Camphill or Anthroposophical training — to help us to continue to build our community.
We are also looking for short-term coworkers who will volunteer for six to twelve months service with us.
Qualities that are important to us for all prospective volunteer coworkers are maturity, reliability, flexibility, good judgement, and the ability to organize.
Our expectation for long-term coworkers is that will have at least two of the following abilities:
• To run a house independently, or run a house with minimal assistance
• To be responsible for running a therapeutic workshop
• To train and work with short-term coworkers
• To assist with long-range planning and development
• To work with animals
